I love candles and smelly things all year long. Wax tarts are one of my favorite ways to bring fragrance into the home. But, have you priced those? Some go for around $2.00 each! I like to burn them a lot so that’s a little pricey for me. So…..why not make your own?
I am going to show you how to make your own soy wax tarts in no time! They are inexpensive and simple to make. And they make a wonderfully thoughtful homemade gift.
What You Need:
- 24 Cup Mini Muffin Pan
- Pyrex Measuring Cup
- Soy Wax Flakes (16 ounces)
- Fragrance Oil – (2 tablespoons)
What You Do:
Put some water in a saucepan, put the measuring cup in the saucepan with water and boil until the wax has melted.
Once it has melted, remove the measuring cup from the saucepan and add the fragrance. Stir until it is mixed well and then pour into the mini muffin pan.
Let them sit for about 20 minutes until they are solid. The wax will turn white. Then pop them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. This will make them come out of the pan easier. Actually, most of the time as soon as I turn the pan over, the soy tarts just fall right out!
Put the soy wax tarts in a tart warmer and enjoy the wonderful smell throughout your house!
